The agreement represents a logical strategic pairing of a unique Asia Pacific based designer and manufacturer with a growing client base in Japan, and a widely respected and established VAR based in Japan, whose clients are seeking the latest networking technologies for network monitoring, analysis and infrastructure solutions.
Exablaze’s switching products include the ExaLINK 50, a 50 port layer 1 network device that performs fan out and patching functionality at an industry leading sub five nanoseconds. The newly introduced modular ExaLINK Fusion switching device and application platform offers 5ns Layer 1 functionality and a combination of 110ns Layer 2 switching, 100ns Layer 1.5 forwarding utilizing Xilinx Ultrascale FPGAs and is an excellent solution for any application requiring low latency networking.
A pluggable line card architecture allows configurations of up to 48 ports of 10G or up to 12 ports of 40G. Within the chassis, two module bays allow application specific or custom modules to be fitted. The Layer 2 switch module is fitted to one of these bays, leaving the other free for FPGA applications using the FPGA development kit allowing deployment of customer applications right inside the switch.
Exablaze's ExaNIC X2 and X4 are ultra low latency network interface cards which delivers the lowest latency in the industry: under a microsecond application to application for small Ethernet frames (using the native API) and approximately 1.1 microseconds for small TCP and UDP payloads (using the transparent socket acceleration library). Beyond latency, the ExaNIC family of cards offer other features including hardware based time stamping to 6.2 nanoseconds resolution, bridging, port mirroring, flow hashing and flow steering. The FPGA-based cards, which also utilize the Xilinx silicon, are open for clients to develop their own applications using the ExaNIC firmware development kit, licensed separately.
